Nationwide Hackathon

This hackathon consists of two rounds.

Idea Submission Guidelines

Please follow these guidelines while submitting your idea.  Your idea submission must include the following:

• Idea Title
• Selected Theme
• Problem Statement: A short description of the real-world problem you intend to solve and how it ties to your selected theme.
• Solution Approach: A description of your solution and how it will solve the problem highlighting the benefits to Nationwide and the consumers of your application.
• Solution Documentation: Key documentation to support your solution approach. You are required to submit the following:
  • What technologies you will use
  • A high-level architectural diagram
  • A high-level business diagram
  • Key user scenarios
  • Any additional supporting information that may help showcase your idea (not required)

The best solutions with the most viable outcome will be invited to implement a prototype of their hack.

Prototype Submission Guidelines

Please follow these guidelines while making your prototype submission.  You may submit your prototype as many times as your like.  Only the final submission will be judged.

Your prototype submission must include the following:

• Prototype Overview: 3-4 sentences explaining what you built
• Link to the code on Github
• (Optional) Link to a live, running instance of your application
• A presentation of your prototype that demonstrates the solution functionality and how it solved the business problem.
  • Youtube Video – no longer than 4 minutes

• PowerPoint Presentation – no more than 12 slides
