IITM-Restcomm Hackathon

GENERAL RULES

1. The registrants up to the age of 30 years are eligible for participation and prizes. A valid photo-identification proof is required.

2. All code must be written during the event. You are required to build your project from scratch after the commencement of the Hackathon. The first and the last line must be created during the event.

3. You can apply as an individual or a team. You can have at most 5 members in your team.

4. You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc. You can use any development platform or IDE to write your code.

5. The Hackathon will start on 04-02-2017 at 09:00 AM and end on 05-02-2017 at 2:00 PM, you work on your hack during the allotted time only.

6. It's a physical hackathon, the venue is IIT Madras, Sardar Patel Road, Opposite to C.L.R.I, Beside The Adyar Cancer Institute, Adyar, Indian Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600036, India.

7. There are 8 themes of the hackathon, you must submit a hack that is in one of these themes.

8. You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has been copied from somewhere will be disqualified.

9. The intellectual property of your code belongs only to your team.

EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS

1. You will need to bring your own PERSONAL LAPTOPS, mobile phones and any other devices with the necessary software. While a Wi-Fi/LAN connection would be provided, tech support for connecting your personal devices to the same would be available.

2. You are welcome to bring your own additional components, you foresee the need for it (no pre-assembled modules are allowed). The organizers will not be held responsible for any loss/damage to any property.

FACILITIES AT THE VENUE

1. Food & Beverage facilities will be provided at the venue for all participants.

2. Common rooms for relaxation and refreshment will be arranged by the organizers.
