1. Do I need to pay any money to register for the Hackathon?

No. You do not have to pay anything to anyone to register yourself for Hackathon; Just register your team.

1. Do I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for the Hackathon?

If you love to code, you are more than welcome to participate in the Hackathon.

1. What are things to do in 1st round ?

Once you register you will receive a mail that you are registered for Hackathon and you need to write a Programming test and along with it submit an Idea on which you want to work on during Hackathon. Submission of Idea on Hackerearth page.

1. What should I write in my Idea submission write up?

A detailed description of your Idea on which you wish to work on during Hackathon. Usefulness of your Idea and market demand of it.

1. What is Pre-Hackathon ?

Based on your Idea and your score in Programing test of 1st round you will intimated by mail that you are selected for our Hackathon and you have to come to IIT Madras on 28th Jan 2017 for Pre-Hackathon.

Pre-Hackathon is one day event where in you will be allotted mentors who will guide you during event and help you develop you Idea more. Pre-Hackathon also seminar on API which you can use during event. On the day of Pre-Hackathon you have to pay the participation fees and confirm your participation.

1. Will Accommodation and food be provided?

Yes, we will provide you with these facilities in IIT Madras campus during Hackathon dates.

1. Since there is no specific technology mentioned, are there any restrictions on using number of pre-built libraries?

There is no restriction to use any language, technology stack, or libraries. You can use any of them to create the web/mobile application.

1. Do I need to give a demo for the product that I have built in Hackathon?

On final day you have to present a working demo of you app to the judges.
