Rules

Judging at Cal Hacks 5.0 will happen in two stages. Some teams will present their hacks during Stage 1, and the rest will present during Stage 2. (Note: teams who apply for the Cal Hacks Fellowship will present during Stage 1.)

After you submit your hack to HackerEarth and before the judging expo, we’ll assign you a team number, a stage number, and a table assignment. Once your stage begins, you’ll move to your assigned table so you can present to judges. If you aren’t sure where they are located there are maps on the first floor and on the live.calhacks.io site. Please note that there will be two teams assigned to each table, so be sure to only set up on one side to leave space on the other side of the table for another team to set up!

Every team will present to at least two different judges. Judges will ask you for your table number and/or team number, so make sure you remember both to make the process work as smoothly as possible.

If your particular stage of judging isn’t underway, you’re free to walk around and check out other people’s hacks. We hope you have fun showing off your hack, and good luck!
