Rules

1. Eligibility

  • Open to developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from around the world.
  • Teams can consist of 1-5 members.
  • Participants must agree to the hackathon's code of conduct and privacy policy.

2. Team Formation

  • Participants can form teams before the idea submissions.
  • Changing teams after the hackathon starts is not allowed unless approved by YourStory.

3. Submission Requirements

  • Projects must be submitted by the deadline specified. Late submissions will not be considered.
  • Each team must provide a project description, a list of technologies used, source code, and a video demo of their prototype (3-5 minutes long).
  • All submitted materials must be in English, or include English subtitles if necessary.

4. Technology

  • All software and hardware used to develop the project must be declared during submission.
  • Projects can be built on any platform or technology stack.
  • Use of third-party APIs, services, and frameworks is allowed, but teams must disclose these in their submissions.

5. Originality and Intellectual Property

  • Submissions must be the original work of the team members.
  • Any use of third-party assets (e.g., libraries, frameworks, content) must be appropriately credited and licensed.
  • Intellectual property developed during the hackathon remains with the creators & organizers.

6. Judging Criteria

  • Projects will be evaluated based on creativity, technical difficulty, design, impact, and adherence to the theme.
  • The decision of the judges is final and binding.

7. Code of Conduct

  • Participants must behave in a respectful, professional manner at all times.
  • Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

8. Disqualification

  • Violations of any rules may result in disqualification at the discretion of the organizers.
  • Attempts to tamper with or disrupt the hackathon process could lead to disqualification and legal action.

9. Amendments

  • The organizers reserve the right to update or amend the rules at any time. Changes will be communicated to all registered participants.
