1. What is the goal of hackathon?
We want to create an environment that embraces new ideas and technology solutions for the Animation/VFX /Gaming Industry. We know it takes longer than a day to build great solutions, but this is ample time to form teams of competent people, exchange new ideas and complete the problem statement.
2. Hackathon ? Great! I am up for it. How do I participate?
You need to Register for the competition and follow all the relevant guidelines, and important dates mentioned on the site here.
3. Is this Hackathon open for Students / Professionals? What if I am parttime studying and
parttime working?
The Hackathon is open for all; students , professionals and interns/trainee.
4. When will the theme of the competition be announced? Will I be intimated by email about the same?
Theme of the Hackathon and other specific details pertaining to this category will be revealed just before the start of the challenge on April 16, 2016. It is advised to arrive one and half hours prior to the start of the challenge.
5. How can I prepare for this hackathon — do you have any tutorials or areas I should focus on? Brush up basics on topics like Algorithms, Simulations, and C++ etc on the internet and you should be good to go!
6. What are the timings of the Hackathon?
The Hackathon starts at 10 a.m. on April 16, 2016 and wraps by 7.30 a.m. on the next day of April 17, 2016. It is advised to arrive one and half hours prior to the start of the Hackathon.
7. I submitted my Registration before the deadline. Can I resubmit if I want to?
Yes, you can. Finalists will be shortlisted post the registration deadline on April 14, 2016.
8. I have a question that I need an answer to. Where can I ask?
Fire us an email to info@abaifest.com. Consider allowing 2 - 3 days for your queries to be answered. Also, be sure to go through the FAQ thoroughly, chances are your question has already been answered.

9.What kind of Coding challenge will be given in the Hackathon ?
As this is the Animation / VFX / Gaming industry related, the coding challenge will be related to simulations.
10.Is there a registration fee ?
Yes. The registration fee for Steer Quest is Rs 250 for individuals and Rs 400 for teams. Passes will be provided on registration.
The pass will allow access to all talks and areas of the event for both the days. Coupons for meals/refreshments during the duration of the Steer Quest will also be provided with the passes.
