  1. Am I eligible for participation in BOSCH Hackathon?
    Yes, if you are a student between the age of 12 to 25 years and have a valid student ID card.

  2. How many members are allowed in a team? Can I Participate alone?
    A team can have 1-4 members. Yes, you can participate alone

  3. Will Bosch be paying the travel expenditure for our participation?
    No, Bosch will not be paying any expenditure for your travel

  4. Is there any registration fee for the event?
    No, registration is free for this event.

  5. Will I be provided any hardware Kit to build the final prototype at the Hackathon? If yes, will it be customized according to our prototype?
    Yes, you will be given hardware Kit to make the final prototype at the Hackathon. It will be a standard kit. We will share the details of the components of the Kit. If required, you can bring your own components with you.

  6. Will I be provided any accommodation?
    Common rooms for relaxation and refreshment will be arranged.

  7. Should the shortlisted team be physically present at the venue during the Hackathon?
    Yes

  8. What should I bring to the venue?
    You must carry your laptops and any necessary hardware for your demo. Also carry a ID proof and a valid Student ID card.

  9. Who will own the IP on the prototype made by us?
    Bosch reserves the rights of ownership to any of your work as part of this event. All participants are required to sign an undertaking in this regard before the commencement of the event.

  10. Will the additional cost of hardware needed to make the prototype reimbursed? Will I get back the hardware?
    No, we will not reimburse additional hardware costs. You will be allowed to take back the hardware components you brought.

  11. Should I belong to a specific stream/ discipline to participate?
    No, you can be from any stream/discipline.

  12. What is the complete process for selection?
    Please refer to the roadmap.

  13. What is expected as deliverables for this hackathon?
    In stage 1, you need to submit the synopsis of your idea & during the event, you need to build a working prototype and provide a demonstration.

  14. Are there any areas I need to be proficient in?
    You need to be aware of the mechanical, electrical, and electronic aspects of your prototype.

  15. Is there some sort of accredited certificate that will be awarded for my participation which has some sort of recognition e.g. nation-wide?
    We will provide a Certificate of Participation for all the shortlisted teams.

  16. Can I have team members from other departments/colleges?
    Yes

  17. Can I make changes to my synopsis after submission?
    Yes. But only changes before the last date of submission is accepted.

  18. How can I submit videos,animation or any other format apart from the text as part of my synopsis?
    You can email your submission to arihant@hackerearth.com with your team name/project name and we will consider this for evaluation.
