Evaluation Parameters
The evaluation phase is a critical part of the hackathon. Ideas received during the Phase 1 - Online Idea Submission are screened and shortlisted for Phase 2 - Prototype Submission/Virtual Finale.
HackerEarth follows a set of pre-defined criteria as part of the evaluation process for Phase 1 (Binary: Shortlist/Reject) of the hackathon.
Evaluation parameters for idea phase:
- Complexity & Implementation
- Scalability and overall difficulty
- Complexity of proposed Idea
- Elaborative self-explanatory design
- How comprehensive is the app in terms of functionality and working given the idea/concept?
- Impact
- Practical use potential of the application
- Viability in a global context
- Relevance to global masses
- Concept and innovation
- How novel and innovative is the idea?
- Originality, creativity, and intent of the concept
- Relevance of pain points that the candidate's idea is trying to address
- Maturity of the technology that is used
- Usage of BBPS API
