Timelines

Hackathon registration 

Step 1: All the participants and EY GDS mentors must sign-up on the HackerEarth platform. EY GDS mentors must use their official email IDs to sign-up.

Step 2: All the participants and EY GDS mentors must register and fill all the necessary details.

Step 3: Once registered, participants and EY GDS mentors should view all the information related to themes, submission format, agenda, evaluation parameters and other relevant details, on the hackathon page. 

Step 4: To proceed further, participants need to build their own team or join an existing team.

 11 March 2021 – 11 April 2021

Phase 1: Idea submission

Step 1: Participants must select one of the six themes, and EY GDS mentors can select up to three themes.

Step 2: Once the theme(s) is selected, participants and EY GDS mentors must build their high-level solutions offline on their respective systems.

Step 3: Participants and EY GDS mentors must make their final idea submissions in the requested format with all the necessary details.

11 March 2021 – 11 April 2021

Phase 2: Idea evaluation

Click here to know more about the evaluation parameters.

Based on the idea submissions, the final EY mentorship alignment will be done for the selected participating teams.

12 April 2021 − 15 April 2021

Phase 3: Quarter finale — prototype submission

Step 1: Selected EY GDS mentors will provide mentorship and guidance to the selected participating teams.

Step 2: Participants must build their solutions offline on their respective systems.

Step 3: Participants must make their prototype (or the minimum viable product) submissions in the requested format, with all the necessary details.

Phase 4: Virtual Quarter Finale - prototype evaluations

Quarter finale (or the prototype evaluation stage) will be conducted through internal screening or through a virtual presentation.

28 May 2021

Phase 5: Semi finale — prototype optimization session with EY GDS professionals

All the shortlisted quarterfinalists will be invited to attend mentorship and prototype optimization sessions, with the respective EY business point-of-contact. They can discuss how to fine-tune their solutions, with the shortlisted EY GDS mentors.

29 May 2021 – 14 June 2021

Phase 6: Virtual semi-finale

Semi-finale (or the prototype evaluation stage) will be conducted through a virtual presentation.

18 June 2021

Phase 7: Final presentation submission

All the shortlisted semi-finalists will be invited to present their fine-tuned submissions, for the finale event.

19 June 2021 – 23 June 2021

Phase 8: Virtual grand finale 

The grand finale will include the following stages:

1. Presentations by all the finalists, along with their EY GDS mentors.
2. Speeches by the leading professionals.
3. Fun activity sessions.
4. Winner announcement.
