In this world of digitization, full-stack development is a field where web development is no longer confined to the realm of pure HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and JavaScript on the front end, and PHP/Perl on the back end.
Today, full-stack development refers to both client-side and server-side development of a web application where the developer is equipped with the knowledge of both front end and back end technologies, thus making the project cost-effective. With the emergence of new technologies in software development, hiring a software developer for every technology is difficult and expensive. Full-stack web developers are expected to have knowledge about the front end, back end, database, and debugging of web applications or websites. This means that they should have the capacity to develop both client-side and server-side software.
2020 is witnessing an increasing demand for experienced full-stack developers and it is forecasted to become higher in the coming years.
Since you have read so far, we assume that you have some interesting and creative full-stack projects to share with us! HackerEarth is looking for problem setters across the globe to collaborate and create challenging full-stack questions through this hackathon.
