Evaluation Parameter

Idea stage

The following judging criteria will be applied to the ideas:

  1. Concept
    • Is it creative, novel and innovative?
    • Has the relevance of the pain points been addressed?
    • Does it have a proposed architecture or system design?
  2. Impact
    • Does it have the potential for practical usability?
    • What is its viability at a global scale?
    • What is its relavance to the masses?
  3. Scalability
    • Does it encompass ease of implementation?
    • Is it easy to understand with an elaborate design?
    • Have all the associated assumptions and constraints been addressed?

Semi finale: Prototype stage

Prototypes will be judged, based on the following non-technical criteria.

  1. Adaptability
    • What is the ease of solution adaptability like?
    • How well does the solution solve the theme?
  2. Agility
    • Is the solution agile enough to accommodate further enhancements?
    • Is the solution flexible to support global standardization?
  3. Sustainability
    • Is the solution proposing a sound business model?
    • Will the solution be able to sustain in the long-term?
  4. Value impact
    • Is the solution creating a value impact and disruption in the industry?
    • What financial value and impact is the solution creating?
  5. Presentation and Q&A
    • How well was the solution articulated? Were the questions answered correctly?
    • How well was the presentation time-limit managed?

 

Prototypes will be judged, based on the following technical criteria.

  1. Code
    • What is the quality and level of code?
    • How well have the coding standards been followed?
    • Is the usage of algorithms, APIs, logic, frameworks and external libraries in code appropriate enough?
  2. Design
    • Does it include an optimal design, user experience and use of latest technologies?
    • Is the solution scalable enough to support high volumes of data?
    • What is the feasibility of the solution’s portability into an Azure environment?
    • Has the maturity of open-source technologies or frameworks been used?
  3. Overall usability
    • What percentage of the desired functionalities have been covered?
    • Is the output of the solution, relevant to the problem described?
    • Does it bring in any additional return on investment (ROI) in terms of reporting dashboards, additional savings and other such features?
  4. Prototype build
    • Has the minimum viable product for implementation been created?
    • Have relevant metrics and coding practices been taken into consideration?
