Do I need to pay any money to register for the Hackathon? No. You do not have to pay anything to anyone to register yourself for any Hackathon on HackerEarth. You simply need to register your name and email address.

Do I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for the Hackathon? You do not need any specific qualifications. In particular you DO NOT need to have a coding background. This is not a coding hackathon. This is an idea-generation hackathon. For example, a pen and paper would be sufficient to take part.

How do I submit what I have made for the Hackathon? Each team will submit their idea live at the event. The idea will consist of a title and short description only.

Do we need to have the entire idea fully working? No. This is an ideas generation hackathon only.

Does one have to be online and available for the entire duration of the Hackathon? No, one does not need to be logged in on HackerEarth or be online for the entire duration. You will need to be logged in at certain points at the event in order to vote and submit your team idea.

If it is a team submission, does that mean all team members will have access to work at the same time? No. Just one team member needs to submit.

Who will own the IP(Intellectual Property) Rights to the ideas that are generated? The teams and Solve.Earth will have equal ownership to the IP for ideas generated, since they will be generated using a Solve.Earth framework.

Where is the venue? The exact venue will be confirmed closer to the hackathon date.
