Rules
- This is a team hackathon event. You can have a maximum of three (3) members in your team.
- A team can submit only one idea from the available theme.
- A person can be part of only one team in case their entry is shortlisted for the Offline Hackathon event.
- A person has to be a registered member with Hackerearth at the time of Offline hackathon.
- Entries without the Idea Submission Presentation will not be considered for evaluation.
- Entries must be submitted on the Hackerearth site.
- Shortlisted teams will receive an email communicating their selection for the Offline Hackathon.
- Offline Hackathon location and rules will be communicated to shortlisted teams.
- NPCI will not reimburse or compensate for any costs associated with travel or lodging for the event.
- During Offline Hackathon all meals will be provided by NPCI.
- Participants are required to carry their own digital devices to develop and present the solution. Examples of hardware & software - Laptop, mobile devices, POS machines, NFC Card Readers, Wearables, IoT Devices, Pen Drives, CD, DVD etc.
- Unavailability of deliverables will result in disqualification of the team during Offline Hackathon and will not be allowed to present their solution. Refer to Terms & Conditions for more details.
- You will not be able add team members after idea submission phase ends.
Terms and Conditions

That basis the request by National Payments Corporation of India (“NPCI”), I shall be using my skills and expertise in Cyber Security and Information Security to analyze the BHIM 1.4 Version Mobile Application (“BHIM App”) for validating the security of the BHIM App against cyber security threats, bugs and report my findings and recommendation(s)/solution(s) to NPCI in the prescribed portal at https://www.hackerearth.com/ (“Deliverables”).

That I shall neither disclose my findings/observations about BHIM App; nor make any announcement / declaration in any print/media/press/social media sites about my arrangement with NPCI.

That I undertake to sign and execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement with NPCI in the prescribed format as shall be provided by NPCI, if required.

That I shall be solely responsible for all the act(s)/action(s)/consequences (direct and/or indirect) resulting out of testing BHIM App; and do hereby indemnify and shall keep NPCI indemnified for the same.

That I shall indemnify and hold NPCI, its affiliates, directors, officers and employees harmless from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of (i) my actions in using the BHIM App for the Deliverables specified herein, (ii) violation of any terms and conditions intimated to me by NPCI (iii) any claim by third party using their credentials/software/technique/process to meet the agreed Deliverables. NPCI reserves the right, at my own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which I am required to indemnify NPCI, and I hereby agree to cooperate with NPCI to defense any of these claims.

All intellectual property rights concerning the idea submissions shall remain with NPCI. Additionally, by submitting your idea, you are granting NPCI an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to use, sub-license, and exploit your idea in any desired way.

That I understand that the proprietary rights on BHIM App at all times shall vest with NPCI and that I shall not claim any rights in in any manner whatsoever.

Whatsoever stated in Para 1 to 7 above are true and best of my knowledge and belief and I believe them to be true and correct.
