Your Responsibilities
As a Software Designer/ Senior Software Designer/Lead Software Designer your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and designing high quality code using java/j2ee on distributed systems
- Understanding the functional requirements and breaking them into technical deliverables
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of capability/solutions which support the business Liaise with stakeholders on potential process improvements.
- Comply with Bank standards and established processes.
- Develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems, sharing that knowledge, as required, with global teams.
The Skills you’ll need
In order to be successful in this role, you must have the following skills & experience:
- 3 to 12 years of IT development experience in Java/J2ee ( pref. Java 1.5 and higher version).
- Experience on spring , hibernate (good to have), concurrent programming, Unix shell scripting.
- Experience on Design patterns and OOPS concept.
- Experience on JDBC concepts.
- Experience on multithreading/collections is a must.
- Experience on testing tools and frameworks like mocking (Mockito), Selenium, and Junit.
- Good to have experience on Web services (SOAP/Rest) and frontend development like MVC (spring).
- Good to have experience on SQl/PL-SQL.
- Experience and interest with Agile and Test Driven Development methodologies.
- Experience with continuous Integrations like Teamcity, Jenkins etc.
- Experience of source control, defect management and build tools – preferably with Subversion, maven.
- Good Problem Solving Skills.
