SMART DRIVING PATTERN ANALYSIS SYSTEM: In view of the increasing mishaps and accidents due to the negligence of drivers, a precautionary monitoring system needs to be established. The proposed project 'Smart Driving Pattern Analysis System' is put forth to develop an application to facilitate the hassle-free transit and transportation which can be widely used in the Metropolitan cities as well as the upcoming Smart cities. This connected cars incorporated system revolves around internet of things, cloud computing, sensor fusion and inclusion of a hybrid application. Certainly, it deals with the development of an intelligent system using ARM and INTEL Architecture for analyzing the driving pattern of a person with the corresponding generation of driving data using HARMAN SDP & IBM Bluemix cloud platforms. The suggested multiple sensor interfaced communication is deployed to analyze, organize and collect the data for generation the pattern and ascertaining the results of a person's driving skills respectively. Built on machine learning algorithms considering the various factors persuading the mode of driving, the values obtained through multiple sensor fusion are matched onto with the threshold level values so as to affirm the analysis of driving skills of a person. The required components are ARM FRDM KL25Z, Intel Edison, Multiple Sensor Fusion - accelerometer, gyroscope, C02 sensor, ultrasonic sensor, GPS module, OBD Module. From the market overview, the driving skills of a person can be reported to facilitate a trusted mass transit system with relevance to school and college transportation, metropolitan buses, cabs etc. Rash driving and speed violation cases will be automatically reported leading to cancellation of license in extreme situations, thus benefiting the license issuing organizations and regional transport corporations. Accidents due to carelessness of driver will not be subjected to insurance claims which will in turn enhance the provision with reference to skills of the driver. With market stakeholders also pertaining to vehicle manufacturers and automobile service centers, this could also be a part of Industrial IoT spheres. General analysis of fuel efficiency and carbon emission rates is used for suggesting the driver personally to improve the driving skills efficiently as an effective means to save energy. Further, a good driver of an automobile powered by petrol or diesel will be subjected to a high fuel efficiency rate signifying the right pattern of driving. Hence, an eco-friendly nature of utilizing the resources as per the necessity in limited quantities is also enhanced in this system as an efficient measure of saving energy for the future. If any automobile is recognized of being subjected to rash driving or in other words, bad pattern of driving, the drivers around that particular vehicle can be alerted as a precautionary measure to drive carefully in cohesion with the bad driver which incorporates the significance of 'Connected Cars' in establishing safety. As a result, accidents occurring due to negligence of driver can reduce in number since an overall precautionary system is established through continual monitoring of this proposed system. By means of the application running in HARMAN Service Delivery Platform, the unique and innovative features of the proposed Connected Cars project 'Smart Driving Pattern Analysis System' will facilitate an easy, quick, safe and reliable transit system in all aspects and pragmatic prospects offering not just a project but a commercially viable product application.
