This is a team participation hackathon. You can have at most 5 members in your team.
You can either invite your friends to form a team or you can request other teams to add you as a member.
It's an online hackathon, you can participate from anywhere.
There are 7 themes of the hackathon, you must submit a hack that is in one of these themes.
Once the hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your hack, you can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as the final submission.
You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has been copied from somewhere will be disqualified.
Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration. You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc.
The intellectual property of your code belongs only to your team.

1. Eligibility
Participants must be 18 years or older (or have parental/legal guardian consent where applicable). The hackathon is open globally, excluding jurisdictions where such contests are restricted or prohibited by law.

Participants may compete individually or in teams of up to 5 members. Each participant may only be part of one team.
3. Project Requirements
All code, design, and documentation must be created during the hackathon duration unless specifically permitted (e.g., use of open-source libraries). Submissions must be original and not violate any intellectual property rights.

Projects must incorporate BlockDAG infrastructure—this includes use of its EVM-compatible chain, UTXO system, bridge functionality, or other relevant features (e.g., BDAG token integration, smart contracts, or dev tools).

Prizes will be distributed as described on the hackathon page and are subject to verification of eligibility. BlockDAG reserves the right to modify prize distribution at its discretion, especially in the event of rule violations or fraud.
7. Ownership and Licensing
All intellectual property rights remain with the creators. However, by participating, you grant DAG Systems Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your submission (including screenshots, names, and videos) for promotional purposes.
8. Disqualification
We reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team for: - Plagiarism or fraudulent behavior - Failure to comply with eligibility or project requirements - Conduct deemed disruptive, unethical, or harmful to the hackathon environment
9. Limitation of Liability
Participation is at your own risk. DAG Systems Ltd and its affiliates are not liable for any damages, loss of data, missed opportunities, or other liabilities arising from your participation. This includes but is not limited to technical issues, platform failures, or third-party service disruptions.
10. Governing Law
This Hackathon is governed by the laws of Seychelles, and all disputes will be resolved through individual arbitration per the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) Model Mediation Procedures.
