Hacking is building things that you always wanted to have but no one has built it yet. It's to come up with an amazing idea and work tirelessly on it. It is to fail, fail again and fail better. Try out new things and learn while doing that. It's to work together, collaborate and build things that are innovative. It is to be a better programmer.

With that spirit, Sri Sairam Engineering College is conducting a hackathon - Bits and Bytes proudly presented by Hack@rena and invites all developers and hackathon enthusiasts to participate in an interesting and engaging hackathon.

The main aim of this hackathon is to innovate an idea ,implement the innovation into a complete product.

Build applications that leverage cloud infrastructure. Re-imagine how things like cloud storage and cloud computing can help you solve real world problems in a different and scalable manner.


Humans are today, more vulnerable from threats from all sort of sources. Be it in the society, natural calamities, cyber domain or any other form of hazard. However the massive advancement of technology, easy access to internet and a highly connected digital world offers us a chance to tackle these threats in newer and much better ways. Build applications that make this world a more secure place.


E-commerce has changed everyone’s shopping behavior. The ability to sit at your home, browse through millions of searchable and indexed products and get them delivered with a click of a button is revolutionary. But a lot of things can be improved. Build apps that help us in better buying decision, that make the operations process much simpler or simply just makes e-commerce more consumer friendly

Technology has played a very significant role in enabling more people to commute. Be it in the form discovery, aggregation or purchase, technology has redefined the way we commute. Imagine how technology can human experience even better in day to day transportation and commute. What can technology do make public and private transportation much simpler.

Internet of Things

A world of devices connected by internet opens up opportunities for us that were previously unthinkable.
