  1. Do I need to pay any money to register for the Hackathon?
    No. You do not have to pay anything to anyone to register yourself for any Hackathon on HackerEarth.

  2. Does one have to be online and available for the entire duration of the Hackathon?
    No, one does not need to be logged in on HackerEarth or be online for the entire duration. You can develop the application on your local system based on the given themes and then submit it on HackerEarth, on the specific challenge page.

  3. Which all tools can i use to decode the files?
    Participants are free to use ffmpeg, gstreamer, binwalk, strings or any other tools which may help in decoding these files.

  4. Do I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for the Hackathon or be eligible for the job opportunity?
    If you love to code, you are more than welcome to participate in the Hackathon, however you should match the requirements and skills as per the job description.

  5. Can I decode any files/levels in random order?
    Yes,Participants are allowed to decode any files/levels in random order. Level is just a measure of the difficulty level, the more you work on solving the toughest level, the more it helps you win prizes!

  6. How is the environment? Are there any system requisites?
    Participants may also have to work around Linux as well as Windows operating systems to achieve the desired results.

  7. How do I submit what I have made for the Hackathon?
    You have to develop the application on your local system and submit it on repository. A source code, output video file and a simple explanation (README.md) may be added as deliverables for each methods you are able to decode.

  8. Who will own the IP(Intellectual Property) Rights to the product that I have built?
    Acuiti has the right to reach out to the participants for the IP. However, the intellectual property of your code belongs to your team.

  9. ** Will I be provided with any help document to solve the problems?**
    Yes, for your reference you may read article by Dr Mark Sugrue.
