Objective of the Hackathon

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC) is hosting the fifth edition of its hackathon, Brainwaves 2019. Join us in our journey towards building a better, more sustainable world is driven by digital transformation with a client focus. 

The Hackathon will be conducted in two phases:

  1. Online Hackathon – Register to participate in the online coding challenge beginning 24 December 2018 on the HackerEarth platform. This phase of the hackathon will challenge you to ‘crack the code’ on Full Stack development problem statements. The details of the challenge will be shared at the start of the event (24 December 2018). Only individual participation is allowed in this challenge.
  2. Offline Hackathon – Shortlisted participants will receive exclusive invites to the 30-hour build challenge hosted by Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in Bangalore, which is scheduled to be hosted in March 2019. The Brainwaves final coding challenge will let you build solutions for real-world banking challenges. The Full stack development track allows individual participation only. 

Don’t miss one of the most epic coding challenges that will also give you the chance to start your career with one of Europe’s largest financial services organizations. Selected coders will get a chance to receive on-the-spot job offers during the 30-hour build challenge in March 2019.

Brainwaves 2019
After four successful editions, Brainwaves 2019 opens its doors to the top technology talent in the country during its fifth edition. The annual flagship hackathon, Brainwaves, presents a platform for coders to ideate, collaborate, learn, create and test solutions. Spread across three themes of Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Full Stack, this edition of the hackathon reiterates the futuristic work Societe Generale carries out in the world of emerging technologies. The 30-hour build challenge will provide shortlisted participants the unique opportunity to test their solutions against real-world banking problems.

Sign-up for the much-awaited hackathon which has benefitted hundreds of coders through a rich learning experience, practical test environments, hiring opportunities to work with the leading technology experts in India and attractive prize money. Register and participate in the online hackathon to qualify for the offline edition of the hackathon.
