Project: zc.buildout for Development and Deployment, Unit Testing and Quality Assurance Developed a python based unit and functional testing framework for e-cidadania which is an Open Source project aimed at providing an e-platform for citizen participation. The project involved using the nose testing framework and extending the Django testing utilities to create a framework easy and intuitive enough to write tests for e-cidadania. Various other tools such as pep8, pylint, coverage were integrated to check code styling conventions and common programming errors.

Project: Testing, Code Guru, Code Quality Assurance Wrote unit tests for the Open Source project Melange which is the website that powers the Google Summer of Code program. Melange is mainly based on Django web framework and is hosted on Google App Engine. The work involved reading the existing code, writing unit tests to test both the views and logic and increase test coverage.

Implementation of a Web Crawler

Implemented a Web Crawler in Python and an indexing system which indexes and ranks Web pages according to the algebraic Vector Space ranking model. The work involved using BeautifulSoup for HTML parsing , NumPy for vector calculations and Curl to download the webpages.

Worked with Associate Prof. Chris Boesch, Singapore Management University on adding test coverage support to GAEUnit which is a browser based unit-testing framework for Google App Engine applications. GAEUnit currently does not support test coverage generation and the project is aimed at integrating coverage.py module to enable coverage calculation and report generation.
