About Our Hackathon

Each day, Synchrony Financial works with thousands of consumers, retailers, merchants and businesses across our call centers in the U.S., India and the Philippines. By leveraging a variety of systems — ranging from IVR to web-based distributed user interfaces (UI) and data-rich applications — we serve our customers both over the phone and online. It’s our job to resolve their queries, safeguard their information, earn their loyalty and stay a step ahead of their needs.

That’s where your expertise comes in. We want you to help us shape the future of the customer experience in our contact center servicing channels. It’s as simple as that. Technologies like social, mobile, Artificial Intelligence and cloud are driving business innovation today. Give some thought to them, along with advancements in areas like predictive servicing, fraud prevention, security enhancements and speech recognition. How can you help us make the interactions we’re having with our customers today even better tomorrow?

Synchrony Financial is sponsoring this Hackathon to come up with new, innovative ideas to improve the experience our customers and associates have throughout the entire customer interaction. We know you have ideas, and it’s our job to give you an opportunity to show them off!

How to Enter

Whether you’re an individual or a team, the first step is to come up with an innovative idea and submit it through our SYF H@CKON 2017 platform. A panel of judges will review all ideas based on such factors as innovation, relevance to our business, creativity and feasibility. Judges will then arrive at a select number of individuals and teams to take part in a 18-hour Hackathon in Hyderabad later this December.
