Rules

  • To claim your stock, you have to be a US resident and provide a Social Security Number.

  • This is an individual participation ideathon, you have participate individually.

  • The ideathon will start at Dec 20, 2017 12:00 AM and end at Mar 18, 2018 11:55 PM, you work on your hack during the allotted time only.

  • It's an online ideathon, you can participate from anywhere.

  • There are 4 themes of the ideathon, you must submit a hack that is in one of these themes.

  • Once the ideathon starts, you will get an option to submit your proposal, you can submit as many times as you want, the last proposal will be considered as the final submission.

  • You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has been copied from somewhere will be disqualified.

  • By participating in the ideathon, you agree to the terms and conditions of HackerEarth.

Stockpile Ideathon Terms & Conditions

Acceptance

An individual applicant or team participating in the Event shall be referred to as a “Participant.” By submitting a registration for the Stockpile Ideathon (the “Ideathon” or the “Event”), Participant agrees to accept and abide by the following Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “Ideathon Terms & Conditions”) as well as Hackerearth’s Terms of Service.

Eligibility

  1. The Ideathon is hosted and organized by Stockpile, Inc. and the Organizers starting at 12:01 AM PT on 20th December, 2017 and ending at 11:59 PM PT on 18th March, 2018.
  2. The Ideathon is open to U.S. residents only.
  3. Each Participant shall participate through a single Hackerearth account. Please do not create more than one account, as Stockpile in its sole discretion may close the additional accounts.
  4. Participation in the Ideathon is free.

Submissions

  1. Each Participant must register and submit his or her Idea no later than 11:59 PM PT on 18th March, 2018.
  2. Participants can register as teams or as individuals. The maximum number of members in a team is 4.
  3. Registration can be done through the online registration link, which can be accessed by clicking here.
  4. Each Participant shall enter the required information in the registration form. Any incomplete, false, erroneous, fraudulent, forged, and tampered forms will not be accepted.
  5. The entries will be judged by a panel of 3 members (“Judging Panel”).
  6. Selection of the winning entry/entries for the Ideathon shall be made in the sole discretion of the Judging Panel and shall be final.

Intellectual Property

  1. All intellectual property rights concerning the entries shall vest exclusively with Stockpile, Inc.
  2. If and when a Participant is declared a winner, the Participant expressly acknowledges and agrees, in consideration of entering this Ideathon, that (a) he or she will not develop or submit the same or similar entity in any other ideathon, hackathon, or similar event organized by any third party, and (b) all intellectual property rights in the entries submitted by such Participants shall vest exclusively with Stockpile.
  3. All data sets or platforms made available by Stockpile to Participants during or in connection with the Ideathon shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Stockpile. The data sets and platforms should not be stored, reverse-engineered, copied, deduced, extracted or replicated in any manner or medium whatsoever by the Participants.

Instructions and Behavior

  1. A Participant may be disqualified on grounds that include, but are not limited to fraud, any other form of dishonesty, misappropriation or infringement of the intellectual property of others and/or any failure to comply with these Ideathon Terms and Conditions.
  2. A Participant may be disqualified for committing any act that is unlawful, objectionable, obscene or generally regarded as inappropriate. Liability
  3. Stockpile and/or Hackerearth shall not be liable for any damages or claims that might arise or occur during or in connection with the Ideathon.
  4. The Participant shall be responsible to ensure the security of his/her Hackerearth account. Stockpile shall not assume any liability for any breach of security or unauthorized use of the Participant’s Hackerearth account. The Participant agrees to immediately notify Stockpile in the event that it becomes aware of any unauthorized use of Participant’s account or any other breach of security related to the Event. The Participant shall be liable for any loss caused to Stockpile by unauthorized use of the Participant’s Hackerearth account.
  5. The Participant acknowledges that data transmission over the internet or data storage system is not completely secure. Stockpile does not take responsibility for the security of content and subsequent use of the content submitted by Participant through the Hackerearth account.
  6. Participants shall indemnify and hold Stockpile and Organizers harmless from and against any claims of third parties arising from any violation of any third party’s intellectual property right or any other unlawful act committed during the Stockpile Ideathon or in the 60 (sixty) days after the Event when the Participant’s application may still be live or from any breach of these Ideathon Terms and Conditions.

Data Privacy

  1. The personal data of the Participants may be used in accordance with the relevant local Data Protection Laws. By registering, each Participant agrees, that their personal data and, if applicable, the personal data of each member of the team, may be stored and used by Stockpile in the course of the Ideathon. This consent can be revoked at any time whereupon the registration in the Ideathon will be automatically cancelled. Stored personal data will be deleted upon revocation or at the latest after the end of the Ideathon. No personal data will be given to third parties without the express permission of the Participant.
  2. Participant agrees that any pictures being taken within the course of the Event may be used by Stockpile or Organizers for future promotional, marketing, publicity and recruitment purposes and Participant waives any claim to remuneration for such use.

Winners will be announced after within 3 business days after the conclusion of the Event, and thereafter a list of winners will be published on https://www.hackerearth.com/sprints/stockpile-ideathon/
