Today's world has a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment. The landscape of business, energy, healthcare, rural/urban life, and fintech is constantly changing. Technology is the only avenue that can prepare us for the long-term future and set the foundation for growth.

The hackathon objective is to build a prototype comprising Python, C/C++ or Fortran code, using Python with emphasis on maximizing utilization of parallel processing and other performance features available on state-of-the-art Intel®-based platforms like the Intel® Core and Xeon Scalable Processor family. By using any of the many Intel® tools and libraries part of the Intel® Parallel Studio XE suite of tools you need to create an innovative hack that creates an impact (with emphasis on application performance) in some way, whether in fintech, agriculture, big data, or any other domain. This is where the Intel® Parallel Studio comes in. It helps you to deliver fast, reliable, and scalable code for Intel® Processors. Using the Intel® Parallel Studio, you can accelerate high-performance computing (HPC), enterprise, and cloud applications.

We expect a hack from you that broadens the horizon of any domain. With technology being so close to the everyday lives of almost every person, this hackathon is about touching lives, shaping the future, and making a difference.

AWS will be providing $100 AWS credits per team to all the top finalists in phase 3 at Intel® Python Hack Fury to help build there submission on AWS cloud. Each team will need to create an AWS account (any one person). Intel® will make the selection of the finalist in Phase 2 and will inform the relevant team, so that their account is live at the time of final submission.

Important Instructions

  1. Working prototype of any system that is innovative and creates high impact
  2. Specific emphasis on utilizing parallel processing and other performance features on Intel® Processor like Multi-core, Vectorization, Cache utilization etc.
  3. It is compulsory to use the Intel® tool linked to the theme you choose. Apart from that Intel® tool, if you need to use other Intel® or non-Intel® tools to build your project, please go ahead and use them.

  5. In your idea synopsis submission, specify which tools you plan to use and how they will be used.
