Design

DESCRIPTION

New ideas in the design are all around us. More apparent in the myriad of the mobile apps we use. Some are big and bold like Snapchat, and some are sober like Product Hunt.

We want a splash of new design in our health product. Go ahead.. let your imagination run wild! Design a fresh and awesome User Interface for the Health Product. It can be a mobile app UI or a web app UI.

You can download the product details from here:

http://www.hdfclife.com/iwov-resources/pdf/products/health/HDFC-Life-Easy-Health-Plan.pdf

BACKGROUND

An online user typically searches for and compares health plans. The number of users on mobile are increasing rapidly. We want to cater to these users so that the experience of discovery and interaction with the product is simple, non-intrusive and pretty intuitive.

CONSIDERATION

To qualify for the second round, make a few mock ups. Tell us how you will convert the product specs into design decisions, based on what will you make design decisions and which designs you would choose and why.

Mobility

Description

Create an interface which our call centre agents can use to engage, convince & collect payments from customers. During a tele-call with a customer, agents should be able to interact easily with customers & complete the sales end-to-end.

Background

Our call center agents would prefer a better solution for pitching and selling insurance then the traditional phone based model. Typical challenges facing such a tele-sales model are accuracy of data being captured while on the call, impatience with lengthy interaction and follow-ups.Suggest a solution for remote pitching and sales. Use a mobile app/web app, if needed. Please consider our savings plan "Uday" for crafting the solution approach - http://www.hdfclife.com/iwov-resources/pdf/products/savings/Uday-brochure-Retail.pdf

Consideration

Some of the important aspects of the interface that need to be considered are:-

a) The interaction session should be able to instill confidence in customer that he is interacting with HDFC Life

b) During the interaction with customer, the telecaller should be able to display/exchange pdfs or image files with the customer

c) Collect premium payment via UPI, Wallet, etc

d) Share a receipt to the customer & provide a unique interaction number for HDFC life

e) The evaluation parameter here would include UI/UX for the customer, call center agent and universality of the solution designed

Data Science

DESCRIPTION

Data has always been around us. Now it's getting logged and with new techniques in data science, it's becoming easier and faster to look at data from many different prisms.

We have a treasure trove of data which we constantly analyse and frame patterns. And a number of data sources are emerging in the public domain. We want to see what can we do with these data sets. Can we build better models? Can we build apps on top of these data sets? Or is there more we can do?

BACKGROUND

With advances in analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, we can better predict events like buying behavior and also visualize data in a more intuitive fashion. There are all kind of data sources, - where one lives, how much one travels, weather patterns, pollution levels, etc. Until now we have been looking at data from only an insurance point of view. There certainly are other factors that would have an impact on our industry. We want to know what these factors could be, which new models could be brought into play and how would they influence our operations.

CONSIDERATION

Following are the representative data sets. Explore and exploit many others available in the public domain.

https://data.gov.in/
http://www.mospi.gov.in/

Tell us how you can use this to build models (Preferably in R or Python) for us.
