Are you ready to invent the future? Appathon is an application development contest. The application may be a mobile app on any platform - Android, Windows or even a webapp. Codefest brings to you the perfect opportunity to give wings to your crazy ideas. The possibilities are limitless. Break down APIs. Or build up from scratch. Do something you've never done before. Appathon challenges you on speed, ingenuity and innovation. Move quickly — you only have 24 hours. Design well to impress all. Charge your laptops, grab your doses of caffeine and hack your way to glory!
Event Structure : 1. The participants will be asked to come up with some innovative idea about an app based on the themes that will be provided to them at the start of the event. Theme list will be available on website for online participants and for onsite participants a hard copy of the same will be provided at the venue just before the start of the event.

The platforms allowed are Android, Windows, Chrome Apps (Browser Plugins) and Web Apps.

Duration of the whole event is 24 hours, it will start from 2:00 PM on 27th Feb IST and end on 2:00 PM 28th Feb IST . There will be bonus points for early submission and will be 5 points per hour.

You need to submit a zip file containing the source code, application installer and documentation/presentation explaining the app idea and app features. The zip file should be named "Team_Name:Appathon" where "Team_Name" is the team name. Zip files not adhering to the above format will not be considered as valid submissions.

For the teams participating onsite, there will be a final round of presentation of 15 minutes for each team where the will be asked to explain their ideas, technologies used and features of their apps. Online participants will be required to share videos (using Youtube or similar online Platform.) and/or upload their presentation/documentation.

Team members also need to register on Codefest Website to be considered as valid participants and also make sure that your Hackerearth username is updated in the Profile section
Team size : A team participating in Appathon can consists of at most 2 members. No change of team members is allowed once the event starts.
Judging Criteria :
Judgment for the submitted apps will be based on following points -
- Design standards and User Experience
- Relevance to the Theme
- Idea and Innovation
- Features and Functionality
- API's used
- Bug-free / Smooth Flow
- Presentation and Documentation
