What You Need

A bit of Javascript, HTML and lots of creativity.

Although we are open to other innovative new tech ideas as well.

Note: You must see the Video Tutorial (left hand side tab) before finalising your submission. Your project has to be integrated with the Freshdesk SDK. Click here for all their SDKs and APIs. The completed zip file of the source code along with an instruction document on how to run the app should be submitted on or before 21 Dec 2017.

Themes

Participants can use any of the mentioned themes to build apps that work on top of Freshdesk. Example apps can be found on apps.freshdesk.com. Other example apps can be found in the Submission Criteria tab on the left hand side.

Bots

Bots can be programmed to carry out automated actions. Bots can both initiate action as well as respond to requests from other users. Bots are of different kinds, too; they automate conversations, transactions or workflows.

Ex: A bot that can throw a reminder notification to agents based on their needs

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

Use data to deliver predictions and recommendations based on unique business processes. Understand customer queries to provide automated responses, actions and more.

Ex: An app that can predict customer's emotions based on the content of the mail.

Gamification and Productivity

We can all use the extra push in our daily routines to get more done - whether it is getting a motivational boost or just breezy access to data we need in the right time, at the right place. Imagine being in the shoes of a Customer Support Rep and trying to handle multiple hot potatoes each day. How can you help them do their work smarter, faster and happier?

Ex: An App that presents personalisation information about a customer so that the agent can readily decide how to interact with this person. The app might fetch information from any of the public sources where data about this person is available.

Ex: An App that builds leaderboards for Support Reps based on varying game metrics that enhance their ability to deliver quality experiences to customers.

Internet of Things

The Internet of Things brings intelligence and connectivity to the devices surrounding us, and enables real-time interventions that weren’t possible in the past. Bring data into new contexts for support, sales and service and redefine how proactive engagements should be built and delivered.

Ex: An app that lets a support agent remotely troubleshoot a device that has been reported to have issues. Bonus: The issue was logged by the device itself on behalf of the customer.
