The Very First Daisi™ Hackathon

The JUDGES’ PICK will be the company’s pick for Best Daisi and will take into account

• how well it is designed and documented,
• how useful it is to the Daisi community,
• how well it shows off the capabilities of the Daisi platform
• Both user interface (e.g., Streamlit) and API functionality will be considered.

It is a subjective call on behalf of the company based on quality.

The MOST API CALLS award is based on how many times a Daisi is called via an API (e.g., from a Jupyter notebook or other source). See the API tab of your Daisi and encourage others to try it and call its API!

• For the purposes of this Hackathon, we will only be counting UNIQUE USER calls to the Daisi.
• Thus, the counter shown on app.daisi.io may over-state calls.

To have the best chance to win this prize,

• build a Daisi to provide an API that many people will find useful!
• publicize your Daisi with your colleagues
• promote your Daisi on social media, and
• submit and make your Daisi PUBLIC as early as possible so it has maximum time to be used before the end of the judging period.

Finally, the MOST STARS prize is based on how many other users "star" or "like" your Daisi. To have the best chance to win this prize we suggest:

• Build a Daisi with a good user interface, e.g., with Streamlit code
• Provide really clear READ ME instructions
• Make sure to include a compelling image
• Ask your friends and colleagues to "Star" your Daisi
• Promote your Daisi on social media, and
• Make your Daisi PUBLIC as early as possible so it has the most time to be used.

Remember: a single Daisi can win multiple categories of prizes -- e.g., it could win JUDGES' PICK, MOST API CALLS, and MOST STARS, so you don't need to pick! (Plus, you can submit multiple Daisies to have more chances to win, too!)

IMPORTANT: The API calls and Stars/Likes categories are designed to have REAL users calling and starring your Daisies. Any effort to artificially inflate these including, without limitation, via botnets, click farms, automated scripting, and/or other non-authentic usage shall be either removed from a Daisi total or, if deemed abusive in the sole judgement of the Sponsor, the abusing team shall be disqualified from the Hackathon. We want you to promote your Daisies to authentic users via social media but any attempts to artificially inflate the metrics via non-real users are not allowed.
