General

Hacks in any theme also belong to General.

Healthcare

There used to be a time where the common cold could cause an epidemic. And today, we’ve eradicated malaria and are on the path to finding cures to cancer and AIDS. While direct medical sciences have contributed to most of its advancements, recent years have seen computer sciences compliment it very well. Be it in aggregating services of every doctor in a locality, or a simple application with quick remedies for ailments - the tech party has landed in the healthcare space. Think of how technology can compliment the current healthcare infrastructure.

Social

Probably, the biggest impact any trend has had on mankind is Social. Social media is transformed almost everything we do today, from staying connected with our friends, communicating with people, doing business, consuming news, learning to almost any other thing that we do in our day to day life, has been impacted by social. So much so, it’s hard to imagine a world not socially connected. But this is just the start, the possibilities are endless on how social can be leveraged to make this world a better, more connected, safer and comfortable place.

Communication

Communication in today’s world has drastically changed. With every person being connected with every other person, instantly and through a multitude of channels, they are communicating with ways, previously unimaginable. Build applications that help people communicate better, solving some tangible problems.

Education

The power couple of technology and educational content has revolutionised how people learn today. From online universities like Coursera and Udacity, to learning management solutions like Moodle - technology has changed the art of education for the better. But we’re still scratching the surface. With the advent of big data technology, mobility and the maturing of machine learning and artificial intelligence, the world is now ready for ed-tech 2.0. Think you can harness these powerful tools and give a new dimension to educational technology?

Entertainment

It wasn’t too long ago, when the first 512 kbps broadband hit the scenes and before you knew it, the internet highways were so broad, that internet enabled entertainment is replacing the television. You have your favorite TV shows streamed straight to your personal devices and the archive of every known musician that ever recorded an album is available via a few touches. Surely, there is no shortage of data or the ability to serve it. You’ve got the data and you’ve got the infrastructure to make it available to everyone with an internet enabled device - what do you think is next in entertainment technology?

Lifestyle

In this era of virtual reality and booming online commerce across the globe, technology plays a central role in shaping up lifestyle choices across the world. Its an exciting space to see how technology would be an enabler in most ways to provide an affordable and real life like experience when it comes to shopping online. There is still a long gap between the traditional brick and mortar commerce network and the online centralized and simplified solutions. Can there be an innovative approach to bridge this divide?

Internet of Things

A world of devices connected by internet opens up opportunities for us that were previously unthinkable. The fact that devices can now be connected to each other, share data and take intelligent decisions by talking to other devices can disrupt the way we interact with our surroundings. Build applications on Internet of Things that help us improve our experience in our day to day life.
