Rules
RULES for READing HACKATHON
1. All entrants must be of 18-years or over at the time of registration, must be of sound mind and must have entered with free consent and with noble purposes which the organizations have thought of.
2. To take part in the challenge as an entrant, you must register via the Sign-up page on the Challenge webpage at http://www.readalliance.in/hackathon/ before 8 PM on 30th November 2017.
3. Employees or close family members of employees of Hackathon partners, USAID, READ Alliance/CKS or any person directly or indirectly involved in the running of #READathon or their direct family members are not eligible to enter the Challenge AS AN ENTRANT.
4. Entrants will be required to provide the following to the Event Organizer by the 30th November through an online form.
4.1. Name of the team
4.2. Names and addresses and employer and / or name of University, if applicable, of each team member;
4.3. Choice of Problem Statement being addressed
4.4. Nature and description of Content Selected, if any
5. Create and develop innovative tech enabled solutions to address chosen themes
6. A team may only submit one Entry. Individual Participants may only submit one Entry. Incomplete Entries may be disqualified.
7. Each Participant must supply his/her own laptop to participate.
8. Selection of the winning entry for each Hackathon shall be carried out by an eminent panel selected by READ Alliance/CKS and . A panel of 4 or 5 people with relevant expertise will be responsible for judging Entries. The Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
(i) Local Impact (20%);
(ii) Idea/Originality (25%);
(iii) Design Functionality (20%);
(iv) Real Product Potential (20%) and
(v) Content used in the app addresses theme issues aptly and accurately (15%)
