IndiaHacks: Open Source

Judging Process:

For all the projects listed on the Open Source page, there is a list of issues that has been identified by the project maintainers. The issues are marked with one of these labels - ‘low’, ‘medium’ and ‘high’, which represent the impact of your contribution if you work on that issue. You will have to submit a pull request (if the project is on Github)/contribution and if the contribution is accepted you will be awarded the following points based on the tag (tag labels differ from project to project and they are listed below)

• high - 5
• medium - 3
• low - 2

For the projects hosted on Github, we have written a script using the Github API that will automatically fetch all pull requests submitted by participants and award them the corresponding score. Participants must make sure that they submit their Github username on HackerEarth, so that their contributions can be recorded.

For the projects not hosted on Github, the participants have to request their project maintainers to score the contribution. Each project maintainer has been given a sheet in which they will update the contributions to their projects. Participants must ask the project maintainers to add that email address in the sheet, with which they are participating in the contest.

The scores will be updates on the leaderboard every 10 days.
