Overview

Hacking is building things that you always wanted to but no one has built yet. It's to come up with an amazing idea and work tirelessly on it. It is to fail, fail again and fail better. Try out new things and learn while doing that. It's to work together, collaborate and build things that are innovative. It is to be a better programmer.

With that spirit, Capgemini's Millennial Innovation Council is conducting a hackathon - Millennial Disrupt - and invites all developers and hackathon enthusiasts to participate in this immersive weekend hackathon.

This hackathon brings together working professionals from 50+ different companies. There will be a mix of high caliber developers, designers, and business people from across the nation to compete in revolutionizing the workplace. The hackathon is focused on four pillars: culture, diversity and inclusion, work/life balance, and the virtual workforce. Participants have 24 hours to build a tangible technical solution that will address an issue faced in one of these themes.

The venue, Capgemini’s flagship Applied Innovation Exchange (AIE) and Accelerated Solutions Environment (ASE) in San Francisco, was carefully selected, as it not only allows us to host a large number of people, but also provides an environment conducive to collaboration and creativity. This space is optimal for our hackers to showcase their diverse skillsets and for partners to interact with the leaders of tomorrow.

Amazon Echo (8)

Amazon Echo is a hands-free speaker you control with your voice. Echo connects to the Alexa Voice Service to play music, make calls, send and receive messages, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and more—instantly. All you have to do is ask.

Echo has seven microphones and beam forming technology so it can hear you from across the room—even while music is playing. Echo is also an expertly tuned speaker that can fill any room with 360° immersive sound. When you want to use Echo, just say the wake word “Alexa” and Echo responds instantly. If you have more than one Echo or Echo Dot, Alexa responds intelligently from the Echo you're closest to with ESP (Echo Spatial Perception).
