About HackBenchers

What is Hackbenchers?

HackBenchers is a series of beginner level hacks exclusively for school students and undergraduates to leverage their scope of improvement in science and technology.

How is HackBenchers different from other hackathons?

HackBenchers focuses on STEM-based learning. For those who wonder what STEM is, It is a curriculum based on the idea of educating in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. We believe that science brings out the pure form of invention and technology enables innovation. HackBenchers takes you back to the old school questions which are still unanswered.

We are going to explore, learn and push ourselves to solve problems. HackBenchers is a two-way learning. We are going to learn from each other. We are going to help each other find the ideal solution for the given problem statement. We have mentors who can help you throughout. Remember, We are in it together.

What is in it for you?

Innovation invades, Technology helps. You will never learn faster than you will at a hackathon. If you haven’t participated/won any hackathon before and if you’re looking out for the opportunity to do so, you’re in the right place. From basic app building to making your own IoT device, this series has it all. HackBenchers happens once in three months, with cool tasksets which can directly assist your growth.

How can HackBenchers help you?

Ears up! They’re really fun and relaxed events where you can learn how to create cool technology. You learn about idea generation, working with others, managing a project, how to use the libraries, frameworks, and APIs that are used by software engineers every day, how to work to a deadline, how to debug, how to do version control, how to deploy, how to test and improve your work, how to present your work on stage, and much more. When you work with others, you’re going to pick up so many new tips and tricks. These are all skills which will make you a better developer and these are all skills which will help you get a job/internship.
