Rules

  • This is a team participation hackathon. You can have at most 5 members in your team.

  • You can either invite your friends to form a team or you can request other teams to add you as a member.

  • The hackathon will start on Aug 23, 2021, 12:00 PM PDT and end on Dec 3, 2021, 11:59 PM PDT, you work on your hack during the allotted time only.

  • It's an online hackathon, you can participate from anywhere.

  • Once the hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your hack, you can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as the final submission.

  • You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has been copied from somewhere will be disqualified.

  • Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration. You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems/services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds, etc.

  • By participating in the hackathon, you agree to the terms and conditions of HackerEarth.

Terms and Conditions

In addition to HackerEarth's Terms and Conditions, a participant also agrees to the following terms.

One account per participant

You cannot sign up to HackerEarth from multiple accounts and therefore you cannot submit from multiple accounts.

No IP sharing outside teams

Privately sharing code, data or any kind of IP outside of teams is not permitted.

HACKATHON RULES

These are the complete, official rules for the Hackathon (the 'Hackathon Rules') and incorporate by reference the contents of the Hackathon Website listed above.

By accepting these rules below, you are agreeing to be bound by these Hackathon Rules which constitute a binding agreement between you and the Hackathon Organizer.

This is a tripartite agreement between you, HackerEarth, and the Hackathon Organizer. The Hackathon is sponsored by the Hackathon Organizer listed above and hosted on the Sponsor's behalf by HackerEarth Inc ('HackerEarth'). As a HackerEarth.com account holder and user of the HackerEarth Hackathon platform, you  accept, and agree that you are subject to, the HackerEarth Terms of Service at https://www.hackerearth.com/terms-of-service/ and the HackerEarth Privacy Policy at https://www.hackerearth.com/privacy/ in addition to these Hackathon Rules. 

The Hackathon will run from Start Date to End Date as listed on the Hackathon Website. Note that Hackathon deadlines are subject to change and additional hurdle deadlines may be introduced during the Hackathon. Any additional or altered deadlines not already described in these Hackathon Rules will be publicized to the Participants via the Hackathon Website. It is the Participant's responsibility in this Hackathon to check the Hackathon Website regularly throughout the Hackathon to stay informed of any new or updated deadlines. Neither HackerEarth nor Hackathon Organizer are responsible for any Participant's failure to do so.

Each registered individual or member of a Team is referred to as a Participant ('Participant'). You may only participate using a single, unique HackerEarth account registered at http://www.hackerearth.com. Participating using more than one HackerEarth account per individual Participant is a breach of these Hackathon Rules and Hackathon Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any Participant (or Team including Participant) who is found to breach these Hackathon Rules.

Every Participant consents to (1) HackerEarth disclosing Participant information, i.e., email address, display name, user profile URL, information contained in the user profile, any other information collected during registration for the Hackathon and number of submissions, to Hackathon Organizer, including personally identifiable information contained therein; and (2) Hackathon Organizer contacting the Participant. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Hackathon Organizer has no obligation to request or review the foregoing information and no obligation to contact any Participant except as otherwise required herein.

ELIGIBILITY

The Hackathon is open to all individuals over the age of eighteen (18) at the time of entry and to all validly formed legal entities that have not declared or been declared in bankruptcy. Any entries from individuals under 18 years of age would automatically be disqualified.

Officers, directors, employees and advisory board members (and their immediate families and members of the same household) of the Hackathon Organizer, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, interns, contractors and agents are eligible to participate in the Hackathon, except those employed (or for immediate family members, those residing) in the Province of Quebec, Canada and in Germany (the ‘Hackathon Organizer Employees’). By choosing to participate and agreeing to these terms, Hackathon Organizer Employees expressly acknowledge that: their participation is entirely voluntary; they will not perform any activities related to the Hackathon during working time; they will not use any resources of the Hackathon Organizer in furtherance of the Hackathon; they will not receive any payment for their participation other than a possible Team Prize (as described below); and time spent participating in the Hackathon will not be considered hours worked nor in any way trigger additional salary or wage obligations by the Hackathon Organizer.  

Employees of HackerEarth Inc. and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, contractors, interns, agents, judges, and advertising and promotion agencies may enter and participate in the Hackathon but are not eligible to win any Prizes.

This Contest is void where prohibited by law. Hackathons are open to residents worldwide, except if you are a resident of Crimea, Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Sudan, or of a country otherwise designated by the United States Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control or any other jurisdiction where the Hackathon is otherwise prohibited or restricted by applicable federal, state, territorial, provincial or local laws, rules or regulations (subject to change; see http://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/SDN-List/Pages/default.aspx for additional information). Other local rules and regulations may apply to you, so please check your local laws to ensure that you are eligible to participate in skills-based Hackathons. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are legally eligible to enter the contest and receive a Prize under any laws applicable to you in your jurisdiction of residence or otherwise.

In addition to the above, a Participant may be disqualified in compliance with laws including immigration related laws and other local laws, rules, regulations, legal or judicial process, internal procedures and potential participation conflicts.

SUBMISSIONS

'Submission' means the material created and submitted by you in the manner and format specified on the Website via the Submission function on the Website. All submissions must be original content and code created by you. Submissions must be received prior to the Hackathon deadline and adhere to the guidelines for Submissions specified on the Website.

If the Hackathon is a multi-stage Hackathon, Submissions must be made and selected during each stage of the Hackathon in the manner described on the Hackathon Website.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

DATA

'Data' means the Data, Datasets or any other resources that are provided on the Hackathon Website for the purpose of use by Participants in the Hackathon. For the avoidance of doubt, Data is deemed, for the purpose of these Hackathon Rules, to include any prototype or executable code or sandbox instance provided to Participants by HackerEarth or Hackathon Organizer via the Website. Participants must use the Data only as permitted by these Hackathon Rules and any associated data use rules specified on the Hackathon Website.

Unless otherwise permitted by the terms of the Hackathon Website, Participants must use the Data solely for the purpose and duration of the Hackathon, including but not limited to reading and learning from the Data, accessing or utilizing the Data, analyzing the Data, modifying the Data and generally creating your Submission and any underlying models and participating in forum discussions on the Website. Participants must not copy, access, collect, store, archive, reproduce or otherwise use the Data for any purpose other than to participate in the Hackathon for which such Data was provided. Participants may not use the Data in such a way as to repackage, resell, allow bulk data download, or otherwise similarly exploit the data. Participants agree to use suitable measures to prevent persons who have not formally agreed to these Hackathon Rules from gaining access to the Data and agree not to transmit, duplicate, publish, redistribute or otherwise provide or make available the Data to any party not participating in the Hackathon. Participants agree to notify HackerEarth in writing immediately upon learning of any possible unauthorized transmission or unauthorized access of the Data and agree to work with HackerEarth and/or Hackathon Organizer to rectify any unauthorized transmission. Participants agree that participation in the Hackathon shall not be construed as having or being granted a license (expressly, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise) under, or any right of ownership in, any of the Data.

INFORMATION SHARING

Participants are prohibited from privately sharing any information developed in connection with or based upon the Data with other individuals in the Hackathon such as source code, presentation, documents etc. Any such sharing is a breach of these Hackathon Rules and may result in disqualification.

Participants are permitted to share information developed in connection with or based upon the Data, or otherwise relevant to the Hackathon, with other teams in the Hackathon provided that such sharing is done with all participants in the Hackathon and does not violate the intellectual property rights of any third party. By so sharing, the sharing Participant is thereby deemed to have licensed the shared code under the MIT License (an open source software license commonly described at http://opensource.org/licenses/MIT).

OPEN-SOURCE CODE

A Submission will be ineligible to win a prize if it was developed using code containing or depending on software licensed under any open source or other license other than:

  • an Open Source Initiative-approved license (see http://opensource.org/); or
  • an open source license that in no way prohibits commercial use.

WINNING

DETERMINING WINNERS

This Hackathon is a competition of skill and creativity. The winning Participants are chosen based solely on merit and there is no element of luck or chance to determine the winner of this contest. The final results are determined solely by leaderboard ranking on the leaderboard, subject to compliance with these Hackathon Rules.  Participants' scores and ranks on the Hackathon Website at any given stage during the Hackathon will be based on the evaluation metric described on the Hackathon Website.

The evaluation metric used for scoring and ranking Submissions during the Hackathon will be made available on the Hackathon Website.

Prize awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Hackathon Rules, including satisfaction of the Winners’ Obligations described below. All decisions of the Hackathon Organizer will be final and binding on all matters relating to this Hackathon with no right to appeal. In the event of a tie, judges will deliberate based on merit to determine the Winner. Hackathon Organizer may examine the Submission and any associated code or documentation for compliance with these Hackathon Rules, including but not limited to assessing potential cheating behavior and verifying satisfaction of the Winners’ Obligations described below.

Every Participant agrees to grant and hereby grants to Hackathon Organizer an irrevocable, worldwide, and royalty-free license to allow the right to review the Submission (including any and all submitted source code) for purposes related to evaluation and scoring in this Hackathon, including but not limited to compliance with these Hackathon Rules, assessment of potential cheating behavior and verification of satisfaction of the Winners’ Obligations described below.

In the event that the Submission demonstrates a breach of these Hackathon Rules, Hackathon Organizer may at its discretion take either of the following actions:

  • disqualify your Submission(s); or
  • require that you remediate within one week all issues identified in your Submission(s) (including, without limitation, the resolution of license conflicts, the fulfillment of all obligations required by software licenses, and the removal of any software that violates the software restrictions). Failure to remediate the identified deficiencies within the specified time frame may result in disqualification.

 

If, after making all reasonable attempts, the Hackathon Organizer cannot contact the Winner or if the Winner does not claim the Prize within the prescribed period, the Hackathon Organizer may, at its sole discretion, select the Participant with the next best entry as the winner or retain the unclaimed Prize.

 

The Prize that may be awarded to the Winners are not transferable or exchangeable for any other prize. Participating employees of the Hackathon Organizer and their immediate family members may be eligible for additional Prizes at the sole discretion of the Hackathon Organizer.

TOP PRIZES

First, Second and Third Place Teams may be selected by the Hackathon Organizer as Winners of a First, Second or Third Place Prize (each a ‘Top Prizes’).  Note that Hackathon Organizer may choose, in its sole discretion to award more, fewer or none of the Prizes below based on the Submissions it receives.  

 

First Place Team Prize - $10,000.00

Second Place Team Prize - $5000.00

Third Place Team Prize - $2500.00

 

OTHER PRIZES

Teams not winning a Top Prize may be awarded a $200.00 Prize for their Submission (“Other Prizes”).  

DECLINING PRIZES

A Participant may decline to be nominated as a Winner by notifying HackerEarth directly within one week following the Hackathon deadline, in which case the declining Participant forgoes any prize or other features associated with winning the Hackathon. HackerEarth may disqualify a Participant who so declines at HackerEarth's sole discretion if HackerEarth deems disqualification appropriate.

PARTICIPANTS’ OBLIGATIONS

DELIVERY & DOCUMENTATION

As a condition of receipt of the Prize, the Prize winner must deliver the final Submission as per the Submission guidelines of the Hackathon Organizer. 

If a potential winning Participant or Team member is a U.S. citizen, a potential winner must also sign and return an IRS W-9 form, or if a foreign resident, an IRS W-8BEN form, within the stated time in order to claim the prize.

Potential winners will be disqualified, and the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner (the next-ranked qualified Participant on the leaderboard) if

  • the required documentation is not returned within 14 days after receipt of any request to provide documentation.
  • prize notification letter/email or prize is returned as undeliverable; or
  • potential winner or winning Team member is disqualified for any reason.

By participating in the Hackathon, each Participant agrees to the he use of his/her name, photo and/or likeness, biographical information, entry, statements attributed to Participant (if true), as well as any Prize information for advertising and promotional purposes by HackerEarth and Hackathon Organizer, including without limitation, inclusion in newsletters, website at, and any of the Hackathon Organizer’s and HackerEarth’s social media accounts or outlets without additional compensation. 

PARTICIPANT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OBLIGATIONS

As a further condition of receipt of a Prize, each winning Participant thereby assigns or grants a license to their Submission according to the below terms 

ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS

Top Prize

Teams or Participants winning a Top Prize agree to assign and hereby do assign all intellectual property rights in their Submission to the Hackathon Organizer.  Each Team or Participant assigning its rights under the preceding sentence hereby represent that he/she/it has the unrestricted right to assign all intellectual property rights in the submission without the need for any licenses, releases, consents, approvals or immunities not yet obtained. Such obligations arise as a result of being identified as a Winner of a Top Prize and cannot be voided through declining receipt of the associated Prize.

In addition, any Hackathon Organizer Employee making a Submission agrees to assign and hereby does assign all intellectual property rights in their Submission to the Hackathon Organizer.  

Teams and Participants assigning rights to the Hackathon Organizer agree to provide such assistance as may be required by the Hackathon Organizer for the purpose of fully and effectively transferring and/or assigning any intellectual property rights in the submissions in favor of the Hackathon Organizer, as and when called upon by the Hackathon Organizer. Such assistance will include but not be limited to the execution/signing of any documents / applications / petitions / appeals / affidavits / counters and/or other such documents as may be reasonably requisitioned by the Hackathon Organizer, and/or any personal appearance(s) before any authority concerned and/or making any statement constituting deposition in evidence in any proceeding. The Hackathon Organizer agrees to bear all reasonable expenses in connection with such assistance that may be required from the participant(s). Furthermore, the participant(s) agrees to provide a power of attorney for the aforementioned purposes in favor of the Hackathon Organizer as and when so called upon by the Hackathon Organizer. 

EXCLUSIVE LICENSE

For Teams or Participants making a Submission that are not identified as a Winner of a Top Prize (‘Other Prize Winners’), such Teams or Participants hereby

  • grant to Hackathon Organizer and its designees a worldwide, exclusive, sub-licensable, transferable, fully paid-up, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable right to use, not use, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works of, publicly perform, publicly display, digitally perform, make, have made, sell, offer for sale, and import and otherwise exploit and use their winning Submission, all intellectual property rights in such Submission and the source code used to generate the Submission, in any media now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose whatsoever, commercial or otherwise, without further approval by or payment to Participant; and
  • represents that he/she/it has the unrestricted right to grant that license without the need for any licenses, releases, consents, approvals or immunities not yet obtained.

In addition, Hackathon Organizer may, in its sole discretion, may, with respect to Submissions by Other Prize Winners, pay to one or more of such Other Prize Winners an additional award of at least $2000 (‘Additional Payment’)  and such Other Prize Winners shall in exchange for such Additional Payment assign rights in their Submission to, and cooperate with, the Hackathon Organizer in accordance with the obligations of Winners of a Top Prize as noted above. 

To the extent that a Participant and/or a Team is not able to assign all rights as provided above, such Participant and/or Team (as applicable) hereby grants to Hackathon Organizer, a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license, with the right to sublicense, under any Intellectual Property Rights owned, controlled, or licensable at any time during the term of this Agreement by such Participant and/or Team (as applicable) to make, have made, use, sell, offer to sell, import, reproduce, display, perform, distribute, and modify the Hackathon Organizer products and services (including components thereof) for any and all purposes in any and all territories.

CHEATING

Hackathon Organizer reserves the right to use any resources, including legal action against anyone suspected of cheating, falsifying, or disrupting the process described in these Hackathon Rules, or suspected of trying to accomplish such actions. Any Participant discovered or deemed by the Hackathon Organizer or by HackerEarth to have disrupted the Hackathon in any of the ways stated above, will be deprived of the right to participate or obtain any prize (if any), and no claim will be accepted consequently.

Participating using more than one HackerEarth account or found in violation of the rules of the Hackathon is deemed cheating and, if discovered or reasonably suspected, will result in disqualification from the Hackathon and any other affected Hackathons and may result in banning of affected HackerEarth accounts. 

RECEIVING PRIZES

After verification of eligibility, each Prize winner will receive the prize from HackerEarth, paid in the form of a bank transfer or debit card made out to the Prize winner (if an individual, or to the individual Team members if a Team) or if it’s a non-cash Prize then same will be delivered. Allow 30 days from final confirmation for Prize delivery. Any winners who are U.S. citizens will receive an IRS 1099 form in the amount of their prize at the appropriate time. In order to receive a prize, Prize winners must submit the documentation requested by Hackathon Organizer or HackerEarth or a third party contracted by HackerEarth, or otherwise required by applicable law, to them or to the relevant tax authority, as per the applicable law, in order to permit them to comply with all applicable State, federal, local tax reporting and withholding requirements. All Prizes will be net of any taxes as is required by law to withhold. Prize winners are responsible for any taxes, fees or other liability resulting from their receipt of a Prize. The Prize winner is responsible for ensuring that he or she complies with all the applicable tax laws and filing requirements. If a winner fails to provide such documentation or comply with such laws, the prize may be forfeited and the Hackathon Organizer may, in its sole discretion, select an alternative potential winner.

CODE OF CONDUCT

HackerEarth and Hackathon Organizer are committed to providing a safe and welcoming space, without regard to age, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, mental or physical disability, physical appearance, neuro(a)typicality, religion, level of knowledge, level of experience, parental status, marital status, socioeconomic status or background, political affiliation, or any other attribute. The Participants are expected to act with the utmost respect for their teammates and competitors and should not show any unwelcome or hostile behavior towards another person for any reason.  This includes, but is not limited to, offensive verbal comments related to personal characteristics or choices, sexual images or comments, deliberate intimidation, bullying, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of discussion or events, nonconsensual publication of private comments, inappropriate physical contact, or unwelcome sexual attention. Conduct need not be intentional to be harassment.  Conduct such as this will not be tolerated at this event and will serve as grounds for removal from the event.

TEAMS

FORMING A TEAM

Multiple individuals or entities may collaborate as a team (“Team”). Each Team member must be a single individual operating a separate HackerEarth account. You must register individually for the Hackathon before joining a Team. Team membership may not exceed the Maximum Team Size.

TEAM PRIZES

If a Team wins a monetary Prize, the Prize money will be allocated in even shares between the Team members unless the Team unanimously contacts HackerEarth via the Hackathon Website within three business days following the Submission deadline to request an alternative prize distribution.

WARRANTIES AND OBLIGATIONS

PARTICIPANT WARRANTIES AND OBLIGATIONS

By registering, you agree that (a) information provided by you on your Account is complete, correct, and accurate and (b) your registration may be rejected or terminated, and all Submissions submitted by you and/or your Team may be disqualified if any of the information in your Account is (or Hackathon Organizer has reasonable grounds to believe it is) incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for your Account. All registration information is deemed collected in the United States.

Participation is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. You are responsible for checking applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction before participating in the Hackathon to make sure that your participation and any receipt of any award hereunder is legal. You are responsible for all taxes and reporting related to any award that you may receive as part of the Hackathon and receipt of any award. You are responsible for abiding by your employer's policies regarding participation in the Hackathon. Hackathon Organizer and HackerEarth disclaim all liability or responsibility for disputes arising between you and your employer related to this Hackathon and any such dispute may lead to Participant’s disqualification.

Each Participant is solely responsible for all equipment, including but not necessarily limited to a computer and internet connection necessary to access the Website and to develop and upload any Submission, and any telephone, data, hosting, or other service fees associated with such access, as well as all costs incurred by or behalf of the Participant in participating in the Hackathon.

By entering a Submission, you represent and warrant that all information you enter on the Website is accurate, true and complete to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right and authority to make the Submission (including any underlying code and model) on your own behalf or on behalf of the persons and entities that you specify within the Submission, including the unrestricted right to grant the license contemplated herein to Hackathon Organizer, and that your Submission:

  • is your own original work, i.e. your or your Team’s own creation and newly written during the Hackathon, or is used by permission, in which case full and proper credit and identify is given and the third party contributions are clearly identified within your Submission;
  • must not have been entered in any other competition or program similar to the Hackathon
  • does not contain confidential information or trade secrets and is not the subject of a registered patent or pending patent application;
  • does not and will not violate or infringe upon the patent rights, industrial design rights, copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity;
  • does not violate any agreement or obligation to any invention assignment, proprietary information, confidentiality, non-solicitation, noncompetition or similar agreement with any employer or other person;
  • does not violate the applicable state, federal, local or provincial law
  • is not and does not contain nor is based on material, non-public information;
  • does not contain malicious code, such as viruses, timebombs, cancelbots, worms, Trojan horses or other potentially harmful programs or other material or information and free from any “self-help” code or other disabling code;
  • does not and will not violate any applicable law, statute, ordinance, rule or regulation;
  • does not trigger any reporting or royalty obligation to any third party; and
  • was not previously published and has not won any other prize/award.

A breach of any of these warranties will result in the corresponding Submission being disqualified in addition to any other remedies available to Hackathon Organizer. 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By participating in the Hackathon, each Participant agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless Hackathon Organizer, HackerEarth, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotions agencies, as applicable, and each of their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions and any liability of any kind resulting from or arising out of your participation in the Hackathon, or any Hackathon related activity or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded Prize, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Hackathon Organizer and HackerEarth are not responsible for any miscommunications such as technical failures related to computer, telephone, cable, and unavailable network or server connections, related technical failures, or other failures related to hardware, software or virus, or incomplete, late or misdirected Submissions. Hackathon Organizer reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the Hackathon should any computer virus, bug or other technical difficulty or other causes beyond the control of Hackathon Organizer corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Hackathon, and to determine winners from among Submission not affected by the corruption, if any, in its sole discretion.

Neither HackerEarth nor Hackathon Organizer are responsible for (a) late, lost, stolen, damaged, garbled, incomplete, incorrect or misdirected Submissions or other communications, (b) errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines, or (c) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of Submission materials, loss or otherwise. Neither HackerEarth nor Hackathon Organizer are responsible for electronic communications or emails which are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind, or insufficient space in any email account to receive email messages. Hackathon Organizer disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, the Hackathon. 

If this Hackathon is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Hackathon Organizer including because of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), epidemics, pandemics, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or any which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Hackathon, the Hackathon Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) modify, suspend, terminate or cancel this Hackathon, as appropriate.

Under no circumstances shall the Submission into the Hackathon, the awarding of a Prize, or anything in these Hackathon Rules be construed as an offer or contract of employment with either the Hackathon Organizer, or HackerEarth. Participant acknowledge that they have made the Submission voluntarily and not in confidence or in trust. Participant acknowledge that no confidential, fiduciary, agency or other relationship or implied-in-fact contract now exists between them and HackerEarth or the Hackathon Organizer and that no such relationship is established by your Submission under these Hackathon Rules.

Neither HackerEarth nor Hackathon Organizer are responsible any dispute between Participants or members of a Team.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

Hackathon Organizer reserves the right to modify the Start Date, End Date, and the right to modify, add or remove additional Hackathon deadlines for any reason. Any changes will be communicated through the Hackathon Website. Hackathon Organizer also reserves the right to modify, remove or add Data to the Website upon notice via the Hackathon Website. Neither HackerEarth nor Hackathon Organizer are responsible for any failure of a participant to receive data changes.

GOVERNING LAW 

You agree to use the Website and participate in the Hackathon in compliance with any and all applicable laws and regulations. You may not use the Website or participate in the Hackathon for any unlawful purpose or engage in any conduct which restricts others from enjoying the Website or participating in the Hackathon. 

The Website, the Hackathon, and these Hackathon Rules shall be governed by, subject to, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. These Hackathon Rules are governed by the law of the State of Texas, without reference to rules governing choice of laws. Any action, suit or case arising out of, or in connection with, this Hackathon or these Hackathon Rules must be brought in either the federal or state courts located in the State of Texas. All disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Hackathon, prizes or the Agreement shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the courts of the State of Texas.
