Overview
Hacking is building things that you always wanted to have but no one has built it yet. It's to come up with an amazing idea and work tirelessly on it. It is to fail, fail again and fail better. Try out new things and learn while doing that. It's to work together, collaborate and build things that are innovative. It is to be a better programmer.
Hack Arizona is about bringing together the most talented students to represent the burgeoning tech ecosystem appearing across the country and creating a world class hacker culture in the southwest.
Hosted at the University of Arizona, over 900 participants will build software and hardware projects from start to finish in under 36 hours amongst their peers, mentors and company sponsors.

Northwestern Mutual - Local Community Engagement
Projects for this prize will be judged in three areas:

Innovation (50 pts) - Is the hack an innovative solution that will help new residents connect to their community? Consider this new community an up and coming tech destination

Product (50 pts) - Is the app complete? Is it user friendly?

Technology (10 pts) - Usage of modern technologies such as chatbots or IoT integrations will earn extra points
