Rules

PLEASE READ ALL THE RULES CAREFULLY.

  1. You can make tools and applications in any platform . Some are given below : 1. Android Application 2. IOS Application 3. Web Application, etc. It is completely up to you.

  2. All code must be written during the event. You are required to build your project from scratch after the commencement of the Hackathon. The first and the last line must be created during the event.

  3. Attaching Description file to your project folder/zip/tar is mandatory so that we can evaluate your project easily. If you have not added description file with references you have used, you will be disqualified directly from the hackathon and your project/application will not be evaluated.

  4. You can apply as a team. You can have maximum 3 members in your team. Each member is required to have hackerearth account and one member can register and send invites to the other members.

  5. You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc and can make project in any format. You can use any development platform or IDE to write your code.

  6. The Hackathon will start on 09-01-2018 at 09:00 PM and end on 10-01-2018 at 9:00 PM, you work on your hack during the allotted time only.

  7. Themes for the hackathon will be made available exactly 30 mins before the commencement of the event, i.e. 8:30 pm on 9th January, 2018 and can be viewed in the Theme section of the contest page.

  8. Once the Hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your hack, you can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as the final submission. You have to develop the application on your local system and submit it on HackerEarth in tar/zip file format along with detailed description of your application and instructions to run the application and source code.

  9. Please Specify the theme you have choosen to work on in description file of your project.

  10. We welcome attendees from all backgrounds, genders and geographies. This event is about increasing the overall amount of innovation, partnership, and engagement in the developer community.

  11. For JIIT Students only - Use internet service from any service provider (including JioNet in college) except Cyberoam Portal.
