ThoughtWorks has grown from a small group in Chicago to a company of over 3600 passionate people spread across 40 offices in 14 countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Ecuador, Germany, India, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

On Bridging the Gender Gap

We believe that women are critical to the future of technology and we are looking to dramatically increase the representation of women in the technical workforce. We are creating a culture where both men and women can thrive - and in effect, positively influence the industry norm. Today, 39% of our employees in India are women and 33% of technology-facing roles are fulfilled by women .

Over the years, ThoughtWorks India has been experimenting with, and bettering initiatives crafted for women in the tech community. While programs like Vapasi and Women in Technology meetups, coach and mentor women returning to work from a career break, we also run initiatives like #TalkTechToHer that wants to elevate the conversation around inclusivity and drive an important message that women can achieve as much as men, or more, when they are presented with opportunities, without biases.
