Challenge Overview

Join Aftershoot’s AI Hiring Challenge, where innovation meets creativity. We’re building AI-driven tools that help photographers reclaim their time, and we’re looking for engineers who can push the boundaries of what’s possible with ML.

This challenge is your opportunity to:

Showcase your technical problem-solving and innovation skills
Work on realistic, production-level ML problems
Get a chance to interview and join the Aftershoot team

Objectives

This challenge aims to identify exceptional ML engineers who can:

Design and implement scalable ML models for image processing and automation
Build efficient, production-ready systems that directly improve user experience
Combine innovation, data intuition, and engineering craftsmanship to solve creative challenges

Eligibility

We’re inviting experienced professionals for the following roles:

Machine Learning Engineer II

Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in applied ML or deep learning

Senior Machine Learning Engineer I

Minimum 5+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade ML models

Preferred Skills:

Expertise in Computer Vision and Image Processing
Strong command of Deep Learning Frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)
Experience in model deployment, optimization, and pipeline automation
Familiarity with scalable ML systems and infrastructure

Challenge Format

Round 1: Machine Learning Problem
A hands-on ML task, where you’ll design and implement a model based on real-world data and constraints.

Round 2 (Shortlisted Candidates):

Aftershoot's people team reaches out to you for a brief phone call
If everything aligns, your next chat would be with one of their future team members to better understand your experience.
Next technical round will deep dive into your core ML concepts and past scope of work.
If everything goes well, you will meet the leadership for a quick bar raiser and we welcome you to Aftershoot thereafter.
