SRM Hackathon is proud to partner with Zed Digital for a special track on intelligent transit systems
Zed Digital is a digital Marketing & Software Enterprise headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Zed Digital helps Government agencies, Transit agencies, Smart Cities and Airports with digital solutions. It boasts of having had the opportunity to work with numerous clients across North America.
Problem Statements for track:
1. Mobility Application for Transportation - Use General Transit Feed Specification and IOT data for values
2. Multimodal & Specialized Transit services. - Develop a single app to deal with different modes of transit and needs of users such as card/NFC payments, ride share transitions - Booking to be available via application
3. Promoting transit utilization - Integration of wearables - Push/Get notifications from App to encourage commuting and healthy life styles. Eg: Fit Bit, Apple watch
4. Technologies for scaling transportation - Using open source software technologies for seamless elastic scale, analytics and Business Intelligence.
Developers are also recommended to develop enriched performant UI/UX app dashboards for administrator and user - individual analytics. Google Analytics integration is allowed.
Rules:
Participants are requested to submit their idea on either of two of the above requirements. Bonus points will be awarded to team solving all four problem statements
You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps/API/Analytics, Open Street Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc
You may use any development platform or IDE to write your code
Teams participating in tracks will solely be judged by Zed Digital team
