Rules

  1. This is a team hackathon event. You can have a maximum of five (5) members in your team.
  2. A team can submit only one idea from the available theme.
  3. A person can only be part of one team in case their entry is shortlisted for the Offline hackathon event.
  4. A person has to be a registered member with HackerEarth at the time of the Offline hackathon.
  5. Entries without the Idea Submission presentation will not be considered for evaluation.
  6. Entries must be submitted on the HackerEarth site.
  7. Shortlisted teams will receive an email communicating their selection for the Offline Hackathon.
  8. The location of the Offline Hackathon and rules will be communicated to shortlisted teams.
  9. NPCI will not reimburse or compensate for any costs associated with travel or lodging for the event.
  10. The final participants for the Hackathon will, however, get the opportunity to be present at the IFF event at a minimal cost of Rs 1000 per team.
  11. Participants are required to carry their own digital devices to develop and present their solutions. Examples of hardware & software include (but are not limited to): laptops, mobile devices, POS machines, NFC card readers, wearables, IoT Devices, pen drives, CDs, DVDs, etc.
  12. Unavailability of deliverables will result in the disqualification of the team during the Offline Hackathon. The team will not be allowed to present their solution. Refer to the Terms & Conditions for more details.
  13. You will not be able to add team members after the Idea Submission phase has ended.

Terms and Conditions

  1. That I shall neither disclose my findings/observations about UPI App; nor make any announcement/declaration in any print/media/press/social media sites about my arrangement with NPCI.

  2. That I undertake to sign and execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement with NPCI in the prescribed format as shall be provided by NPCI if required.

  3. That I shall be solely responsible for all the act(s)/action(s)/consequences (direct and/or indirect) resulting out of testing UPI App; and do hereby indemnify and shall keep NPCI indemnified for the same.

  4. That I shall indemnify and hold NPCI, its affiliates, directors, officers, and employees harmless from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of (i) my actions in using the BHIM App for the Deliverables specified herein, (ii) violation of any terms and conditions intimated to me by NPCI (iii) any claim by third party using their credentials/software/technique/process to meet the agreed Deliverables. NPCI reserves the right, at my own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which I am required to indemnify NPCI, and I hereby agree to cooperate with NPCI to the defense any of these claims.

  5. That I understand that the proprietary rights on BHIM App at all times shall vest with NPCI and that I shall not claim any rights in any manner whatsoever.

  6. Whatsoever stated in Para 1 to 5 above are true and best of my knowledge and belief and I believe them to be true and correct.
