HackerEarth is running a short, 3-hour contest on the 4th of  August 2018. There will be 6 algorithmic problems for competitive coding beginners. The contest begins at 7 PM Indian Standard Time. 

The setters for the contest are :

Vineet Shah ( IIT Indore ) and Pranjal Jain ( IIT BHU )

The tester for the contest is : Lewin Gan. 

This is a rated contest and open for all, however, only beginners (i.e. Programmer's with a rating less than 1600  before the challenge starts) will be eligible for prizes and t-shirts.

  • First prize: $100 Amazon gift card
  • First runners up: $75 Amazon gift card
  • Second runners up: $50 Amazon gift card


  • In order to be able to claim your prizes, your HackerEarth profile must be more than 50% complete. Giving your location details is mandatory to be eligible for prizes.
  • The prizes will be disbursed in the first week of September 2018.
  • Once the challenge is over, ratings will be updated in each programmer's user profile after 5 days.
  • Easy challenges are held on the 1st of every month.


  1. For the programming questions in the test, you need to choose one language from the given list and attempt.
  2. All inputs for the programming problem are from STDIN and out...


Where is the challenge happening? The challenge is completely online. After the start date/time, you can go to the challenge page and start participating in the challenge.
